‘Based in Swaledale, we are a husband and wife team dedicated to making fine chocolates. The chocolate we use is Valrhona, which is made from the rarest and most flavoursome cocoa beans and considered one of the best in the world. Many cheaper chocolates contain too much sugar, plus added fats and preservatives. Our chocolate contains only cocoa butter (the natural fat in chocolate), no added preservatives and just enough sugar to balance the flavours of the chocolate perfectly.
You can choose from three dark chocolates, each with a distinct flavour: our award winning Madagascan chocolate has strong fruity notes and no bitterness; our Caribbean dark is milder, with notes of almond and roasted coffee; and our South American is powerful with cherry notes and a very long finish. Our milk chocolate has 40% cocoa solids and a rich caramelly flavour. Our white chocolate is deliciously creamy, with a beautiful vanilla flavour.
Both our Madagascan and our Orange hand-cut slabs have won GOLD at the Great Taste Awards 2008.
