I am a part-time photographer and nature enthusiast who has been fascinated by wildlife since I was young. A life-changing conservation trip to East Africa in 1999 kick-started my love for photography. Shortly after my return I got my first SLR and I quickly caught the bug for wildlife photography. I have since won some competitions and sold quite a number of prints.
I have a degree in Environmental Science and some South African qualifications in field guiding. I have a real passion for Africa that might have been initiated from growing up there when I was young. However, I have spent the majority of my life over here in the UK. I have returned on several occasions to Southern and Eastern Africa for voluntary conservation work and field guiding courses. I am also currently involved in further studies with a South African college. Although I love African wildlife, I still get excited about the wildlife in my own back garden and elsewhere in the world.
